__utmz This cookie stores the type of referral used by the visitor to reach your site, whether via a direct method, a referring link, a web site search, or a campaign such as an ad or an email link. It is used to calculate search engine traffic, ad campaigns and page navigation within your own site. The cookie is updated with each page view to your site.
HTTP Cookie The cookie is only valid during current browser session and it will be deleted when you close browser

The cookie, which expires at the end of your browser session, records your IP address and the time of your most recent visit. __utma, __utmb, __utmc, __utmt, __utmz This is one of the main cookies set by the Google Analytics service which enables website owners to track visitor behaviour and measure site performance. This cookie lasts for 2 years by default and distinguishes between users and sessions. It it used to calculate new and returning visitor statistics. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics. The lifespan of the cookie can be customised by website owners.
_ga, _gat_gtag_UA_118299731_1 This cookie name is asssociated with Google Universal Analytics - which is a significant update to Google's more commonly used analytics service. This cookie is used to distinguish unique users by assigning a randomly generated number as a client identifier. It is included in each page request in a site and used to calculate visitor, session and campaign data for the sites analytics reports. By default it is set to expire after 2 years, although this is customisable by website owners.
_gid This cookie name is asssociated with Google Universal Analytics. This appears to be a new cookie and as of Spring 2017 no information is available from Google. It appears to store and update a unique value for each page visited.
__smListBuilderShown, __smToken (used by Sumo plugin) Strictly necessary, used by third party provider whether the panel proposing to subscribe is visible or not used by third party provider to identify logged in user
__smToken The __smToken is set once you login to Sumo and is checked to verify whether you are logged into Sumo or not.
PHPSESSID To store a simple message when a form is submitted that can be displayed on a different page. For example, if an enquiry form is completed incorrectly, a message will be stored and presented to the user to indicate the errors in the submission. When an enquiry form is submitted successfully, a message is stored and presented to the user thanking them for their enquiry. No personal information is stored in this cookie.
